On Saturday, August 2, D.A.R.E. BC was proud to take part in the BC Day Long Weekend Community Picnic held at London Heritage Farm. The event was organized by Jackie Lee, Zone Chairperson of Lions International District 19L-A7 and Vice President of the Chinese Federation of Commerce of Canada.

The event was free with RSVP and brought together families and community members for a day of fun, connection, and celebration.

The picnic brought together representatives from a wide array of community charitable and non-profit organizations for a fun, engaging, and educational afternoon that celebrated the spirit of collaboration and community service. Over 600 community members attended and enjoyed the opportunity to connect with local organizations.

D.A.R.E. BC’s Role

At our booth, attendees of all ages learned about D.A.R.E. BC’s mission and the important work we do to empower youth. We shared messages about the dangers of drug use, the power of positive peer influence, and the benefits of leading a healthy lifestyle. Many families stopped by to ask questions.
