On November 27, General Currie Elementary celebrated the graduation of its latest rounds of students from the D.A.R.E. keepin’ it REAL program. The kiR program continues to be the most widely delivered youth drug prevention program in British Columbia, taught in schools across the province by D.A.R.E. police officers.

D.A.R.E. BC Society also recognized Ms. Kim Fedoruk at the graduation ceremony. Ms. Fedoruk is a teacher that has shown both passion and dedication for the D.A.R.E. program. She has continued to support positive relationship-building between students and police throughout her career, and we sincerely thank her for her support and commitment to the youth in her community. Steve Ternes (President), Mike Yau (Executive Director) and Cst. Tammy-Lyn Walker presented Ms. Fedoruk with a D.A.R.E. award certificate, as well as a D.A.R.E. Challenge Coin from the Richmond R.C.M.P. as appreciation for her service. ​
