On Sunday, May 26th the D.A.R.E. B.C. Society volunteers got together to supply, make and give out sandwiches for the residents in the Downtown Eastside. Over 30 of our dedicated volunteers came together for a great cause and successfully made over 400 sandwiches.

The give out went smoothly and all sandwiches were gone within the hour. We had volunteers of all ages- from students to parents, to our sponsors and board members. We appreciate everyone coming together to make a great impact to our community, as well as, spreading awareness of D.A.R.E. B.C. Society.

The majority of our work is based on preventive upstream initiatives, but we believe in demonstrating to D.A.R.E. Graduates that our society is dedicated to helping others beyond their graduation from the D.A.R.E. program.
