Cpl. Mike Dame of Terrace SPS unit attended a welcoming party for the Syrian newcomers on Friday night at the Terrace Detachment. There is now a total of three Syrian families living in Terrace, B.C. Cpl. Dame conducted a presentation on SPS’s role and programs in the community. A copy of the DARE kiR curriculum along with letters to parents that were translated in Arabic will be presented to the newly arrived parents so they could learn more about prevention services for their children.
